Surreal NC sunset

Last night a big storm blew through and clouds were passing by quickly. When I looked outside around 8 pm I saw these beautiful sunrays coming through.

The sky was breathtaking beautiful. I was just in awe. Had to stay outside and watch nature's sunset show!

All the colors in the clouds and the sky changed so quickly because of the strong wind. It really was a surreal sight. It had been very muggy during the day, but the storm kicked the humidity out. So nice and that all paired up with this sunset......

Just perfect!

Paperwhites

The white flowers of the paperwhites, make me think of spring!


Sure enough, today's NC temperatures are helping enormously!

It is the second day in to 2012. And what a beautiful sunset we had this evening!



Cold air is heading our way! Happy New Year to you all! Stay warm!

Misty fall mornings

While walking the doggies at Bass Lake one morning last week we came across the beautiful mist on the lake!





Just absolutely breathtaking to see nature at its best!



It really doesn't get any better then this!

hours in time can make such a difference!

5:00 pm this afternoon... Here she is.... Miss Irene, the hurricane!





We are located just on the West border side of where Irene is passing through NC. We are lucky....., we got a big cloud that poored the rain on the streets this afternoon. But it stopped after an hour or so... And out came a beautiful sunset. With up in the air Irene's clouds to the West! So around 8:00 pm same sky, totally different colors...





We are so lucky that we are just enough to the West of it. Our thoughts go out to our Eastern Carolinians!
